(Click on the "Start" button below to begin slide show)

Boy Scout Troop #14 has members from the Santa Clara,  San Jose areas. Scouts ages are 11 to 17, and the Crew are boys and girls ages 14 to 20.  On this trip there were 15 scouts and 5 supervisions. The troop started out in Redding on Aug. 18 and ended it's adventure in Woodson Bridge on the 22nd, stopping at different camps & parks along the way to spend the night.

The troop does alternating canoeing and backpacking trips every year. This year, 2004,  they are in Bear Paw, out of Fresno for a week-end event snow camping, but have gone to Yosemite and other national parks to seek adventure and test their skills. Every summer they go to High Sierra to compete in activities like rock climbing, bow & arrow contest, canoeing, & wilderness survival, just to name a few, where they earn merit badges for their skills. This years 50 miler will be a hike covering 50+ miles in 5+ days.
Although this was the first year at the Driftwood it will not be their last. Fun was had by all!
